(where , in another life , and restore a true understanding and a free interpretation of traditional construction techniques périgourdines , a medieval castle and its grounds ) ,

Gilles Saint- Gilles felt at home.

Unfortunately setting the effects of intense agriculture deforestation was about to sign the death of the rainforest. Informed of this ecological disaster , Gilles Saint- Gilles , the new owner of the land, decided to recreate a similar to what it was before deforestation habitat.Reshaping the landscape, back to the place of their first nature participate in Eden , a lush paradise , magnified by the hand of the artist , this is your challenge. And by Gilles Saint- Gilles is given the means .

Of the 120 ha of the farm " Azueros " (Villa Camilla Resort)  25,000 trees have been planted , the original species , as corotou , neem , mahogany , mango, acacia, tagua ( vegetable ivory and providing local artisans are wonderful sculptures ) . These books Gilles Saint- Gilles subtly spread over 450 hectares in the fully protected area, as it will retain 75 % of the land , and only 25 % is sold as haciendas , villas. This integration frame design of nature and respect for the environment has been very well received and supported by the two major American associations " Nature and Conservation " and " Smithsonian " currently transmitted by Panamanian environmental associations.

In his line , all of nature is transformed. Redwood forest become frames , teak is transformed into doors and shutters. The wood of the virgin forest , reported in particular is used as such, with its twists beams. The palm of the mountains, very resistant , fitted dress and bamboo. VISION

Years ago, a spectacular stretch of coast captivated designer-builder Gilles Saint-Gilles’ imagination.

Enamored by the landscape of beautiful rolling hills set against the expansive blue of the Pacific Ocean, he knew he had found his place.

With patience and dedication anachronistic in our hurried age, Gilles Saint-Gilles and his team of European craftsmen began building on-site workshops and training local artisans in generation-old skills.

At the same time, Azueros began to restore the Tropical Dry Forest eco-system that originally existed in the province, providing wildlife habitat and hardwoods for the coming years.

Now, with trees growing and craftsmen trained, Gilles Saint-Gilles has opened Azueros, VILLA CAMILLA RESORT to a select group of people who understand the value of balancing beauty and ecology.
